why “no” to commercial work
Fiann by choice refuses commercial work and rejected highly paid campaigns offers. He states:
- "I do what I like, not what I am paid to do"
- "I think all the commercial photographers are to blame nowadays for their crucial contribution to the crisis as highly paid, clever and sly in their expression banksters PR agents or corporate reality builders, using the most innocent expression of life to promote the most anti-humanitarian agendas. If you have a heart you simply can't do such a thing"
- "If you see a great painter painting Coca-Cola logo you would find it wrong. Why should photographers who are considered artists be excluded from such consideration criteria?"
- "I will not contribute to the current journalism predominantly saturated with negativity. It is a sign of human dysfunction not being able to see the beauty, especially among the native cultures"
- "I value artists who are talented, work hard and from the heart, not from the "tea tables" "
- "I don't promote heroine faces and anorectic bodies (high fashion). Models of my photoshoots are healthy (body and attitude)"
Fiann sells his photographs as art pieces during the exhibitions and through his website. He works mainly on his own art projects or human content projects referring mainly to ancient cultures, native people or children.
Below are some samples of anti-commercial style. It’s funny but imagine that this cute dog really is turned into an ad prop!
