personal, my inspirations ....

“Wisdom is among the indigenous people, not among the bankers” Joy of life is the highest salary we can get. The experience of life: the joy we experienced, the feeling of the lands that our hearts and our feet touched, the time we shared with beautiful people, these are the only things we really own. We are lost in chasing the tools to get there in the future instead of just getting there now and dropping appearances. Iceland is always full of the most beautiful cloud formations in the world and I feel deeply connected to the sky here. They are more important to me than the landscape because I tend to look more up than down :) They mean as much to me as my friends and lovers. In cloudless area I feel claustrophobic. I have felt this way since I was a kid. If we are aware of the size of the universe we can not but notice that we live on a tiny piece of sand in comparison. And we divided it into hundreds of pieces too! We even have issues regarding those pieces… I am not going to contribute to them. I represent Iceland because I feel a great affinity with it, a connection. Even when I mention I am from the planet Earth I feel like I am not necessarily expressing the truth as we know so little about it. Art I admire and get inspired by: |
Ashes and Snow - Still images could be produced, but this is a movie, a masterpiece of visual arts.
Dreamkeeper - I cannot understand why it has not become more popular. It was made in 2003, way before Avatar. I couldn't find a better link, sorry.
"Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. The very best written thing ever.
Rockwell Kent, I admire him as an artist more than the art he produced. He was way more than an ethereal man behind the canvas. It’s an amazing story. Don't bother looking him up in Wiki, it is all rubbish there.
